How Covid-19 Spread

Contagion

COVID-19 is mainly spread through the air in drops of liquid that come from the nose and mouth of an infected person.

01.

Animal Contact

The primary mode of transmission of COVID-19 is human-to-human through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, talks, or breathes. There is currently no strong evidence to suggest that animals, including pets, play a significant role in spreading the virus. However, there have been rare cases where pets, such as cats and dogs, have been infected with the virus after close contact with people who have COVID-19.

It’s important to note that these instances of animal infection are considered to be uncommon, and there is no evidence that pets play a substantial role in spreading the virus to humans. The main source of transmission remains person-to-person contact.

02.

Personal Contact

COVID-19 primarily spreads through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person talks, coughs, sneezes, or breathes. The virus can then infect people who are nearby, especially if they inhale these respiratory droplets. Personal contact, such as close face-to-face interactions with an infected individual, is a common mode of transmission.

03.

Air Transmission

Airborne transmission is one of the ways COVID-19 can spread, particularly in certain conditions. The primary mode of transmission is through respiratory droplets, but smaller particles called aerosols can also play a role, especially in enclosed spaces with poor ventilation.

04.

Contained Object

While the primary mode of transmission of COVID-19 is through respiratory droplets and, to a lesser extent, through airborne transmission, there is limited evidence suggesting that the virus can also spread through contact with contaminated surfaces or objects.
